Thanks for the questions Betty,I am not in favor of hanivg a Municipal Auditor appointed by the Provincal Government. It would be another layer of bureaucracy and in the long run it would cost every taxpayer more money than what we might save by hanivg this position. I think each Municipality is different and we need to have checks and balances in each Municipality. I like the idea of the Taxpayers Protection Bylaw to assist with the process. As well, we need to have a finance committee chaired by the mayor to moniter the operational exspence of the district.I am not pleased with the level of service provided by our Municipal staff, so yes we need to reevaluate how we provide services to our community. We need to drastically improve in this area.The bid process needs to be open and fair and that is what I would make sure is done.The areas that have a lot of failed septic systems is a concern. Too often we ignore established areas when it comes to upgrades of services. We do need to look at how we can work with other levels of government to help with funding of these very expensive upgrades.Again, thank you for your questions and if you have more or want to explore these issues in greater detail, please contact me at any time.
